AbHarm Summer Virtual Concert

We are Absolute Harmony, Royal Holloway’s one and only A Cappella group!

Welcome to the family! We are Absolute Harmony, Royal Holloway’s very own A Cappella vocal group and previous Society of the Year!

We perform a wide array of original arrangements, from current chart-toppers to legendary classics, all in 5-part harmony with beatboxers!

We pride ourselves on our accessibility and inclusivity and we celebrate every single one of our members. Last year at the annual Society Awards we received four awards- runner up Best Event for our Spring Concert, a society crest, the Sarah Parker Raymond Inclusivity award and the Spotlight award! In the past, we have been awarded Society of the Year, Best Online Event and numerous society crests. This year our Committee has chosen, as it’s committee charity, to support Don’t Lose Hope, a fantastic charity whose work offers free therapy to it’s local community in Peterborough.

Absolute Harmony truly is the most amazing University family.

Coming Up

The 2021/22 year was an absolute triumph and this year we cannot wait for even more music, laughs and fun! Whilst COVID-19 might have changed the way we do things, we are coming back stronger than ever! Count on there to be more collaboration and more inclusivity than ever before – we pledge to shower our members with countless socials, concerts and workshops, collaborating with our Royal Holloway neighbours as well as hopefully some other external choirs! Some of our highlights from previous years include working with other societies, whether that be the wonderful Performing Arts societies we have here on campus, or the brilliant UK University choirs we met at competitions and the Harvard Callbacks and Princeton Footnotes, who flew out all the way from the United States!

Each year we hold three concerts- Winter, Spring and Leavers concert. We love singing for you all and hope that you’ll come and see us at least once!

At the end of the year, we hold our Golden Vinyl Awards to celebrate the achievements of our members and to show our appreciation of their efforts. We truly value our members and it’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the end of a great year! This is capped off by our annual tour, where we get the chance to perform in the sunshine abroad! Last year we flew to Barcelona and all got a little burnt! Past destinations have also included Malta, Tenerife and Malaga. We can’t wait to share our love of A Cappella and get more people singing with us this year.
